Our client is a large telecommunications firm. Working as part of their contact centre you will be charged with managing the testing cycle across hardware, software and applications as they transform their current Unified Communications platform from one product to another.
They are seeking the services of a Test Manager / Leader with similar project experience.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the testing phase in delivering test processes, methodology, disciplines and measurements across all technologies in accordance to established methods and processes
- Actively manage project testing tasks within an agreed timeframe and cost estimation
- Ensure the test environments are properly established to control and monitor end-to-end testing of applications and infrastructure components. Ensuring the testing environment has the right tools (manual and / or automated) in place enabling practitioners to deliver a consistent and quality output
- Establish effective relationships with business partners and IT groups, where testing principles and disciplines are actively promoted
- Manage Defect Review board meetings to prioritise and resolve defects raised
- Escalate testing issues and risks as appropriate to Program Manager
- Apply risk based testing techniques to test design and execution and ensuring that the Quality plan of the project is met
- Review change requests for impact to project testing schedule and effort
- Review and refine estimate for testing effort through project lifecycle
- Liaise with the project manager and business representatives to ensure that the test deliverables meet project objectives as agreed in project scope and Test Strategy
- Manage workload of assigned testers and resolve issues that affect testing
Experience:
- Min 4 years in Test Management or Leadership
- Previous experience working on Unified Comms or Telecommunication type projects
- Build and execute test structures and test scripts
- Experience working in non process driven environments
- Passion for still getting hands on with testing
- Advanced technical knowledge of network topology and infrastructure
- Relevant testing certifications
- Advanced skill in test automation
- Strong management experience
