This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Telco giant, who are currently looking to hire 2 Solution Designers to join their Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team.

You will be working alongside some of Australia's leading Data Warehouse & ETL specialists, and working with cutting edge technologies, Teradata and SAS DI. This vacancy presents the opportunity to lead a team of skilled developers, as well being highly influential with Senior Business Stakeholders.

The role:

  • Take ownership and responsibility for the end result of development across the Data Warehouse and ETL space.
  • Reviewing of code design, ensuring that quality standards are met and delivered on time.
  • Assist in designing the architectural roadmap for the Data Warehouse team.
  • Implement on-going improvement plans for the team of SAS DI and Teradata Developers.
  • Lead a complex team, made up of permanent, contractors and vendors, to ensure that development is in-synch with the agreed BI roadmap.
  • Effectively communicate with various areas of the business, (eg. data quality data governance teams) to ensure that quality inspections occur regularly.
Required skills and experience:
  • Proven, in-depth understanding of across Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse Architecture.
  • Extensive understanding of Dimensional Modelling, ETL Designing and 3NF Modelling is required.
  • Strong understanding of Business Processes and technology design.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse Developers would be highly regarded/
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, Enterprise level Data Warehouse environment is required.  Ideally Telco or Financial Services.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
This unique role, offers the ability to lead within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment, as well as being able to contribute to strategic thought meetings, in order to drive the business forward.  You will have a passion for strategic thought and have a thorough understanding of architectural solution design guidelines.
