Our client, an innovative SaaS business with a product ahead of the game, are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Administrator.  The role will suit only the best in their technical expertise and offer the training and development opportunities to become a visible industry leader.  You will be given the freedom and trust to realise your technical vision and lead a talented group of passionate tecchies!

You must be able to work autonomously and be able to design complex infrastructure architecture, end to end.  You must also be able to create and support a large clustered environment.

You will need the following to be considered:

  • Strong experience managing mission critical applications in complex infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Very strong knowledge of Systems Administration in Linux.
  • Experience in the setup and maintenance of virtualised environments, eg. AWS or similar.
  • Network administration experience, security, routing, switching, load balancers, VLANs, VPNs.
  • Good scripting skills - Python, Bash, Ruby.
  • Highly motivated and a thought leader.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Able to work under considerable pressure.
The following is considered desirable:
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu Server or similar.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technology including Windows Server or IIS.
  • Experience of Solaris.
  • Database knowledge - Postgre, MySQL.
