Senior Storage Engineer is required by a highly reputable systems integrator o take a lead role in the provision of SAN Storage systems for their clients. Within this role you will act as a Lead SAN Storage Specialist providing some support on Business as usual and Project work in order to meet business requirements.
This role is to provide support to clients storage infrastructure and is project based. You will be performing implementations and upgrades for SAN storage estates and act as the storage representative within the Unix Infrastructure team. You will be working on deployment and installation of new storage systems - some experience of design would be highly regarded.
To apply for this position you must have a good technical knowledge of Hitachi Data Systems/CISCO from an implementation perspective as well a broad knowledge of other storage vendors. A good knowledge of the Solaris operating system is also required and a broad knowledge of backup solutions is highly desirable. You will also have experience within the following criteria:
KEY CRITERIA
- Strong technical knowledge of Hitachi Data Systems/ HDS
- Knowledge of CISCO systems
- Broad technical knowledge of Storage Vendors
- Good working knowledge of the Solaris operating systems
- Broad knowledge of Backup solutions
