This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global consulting organisation who are currently in the process of expanding their Business Intelligence team. This role will focus largely on supplying project management services to ongoing data warehousing projects.
You must have prior experience in service-oriented environments, managing the competing demands of multiple small to medium simultaneous projects. You must be able to work under limit supervision and be able to manage complex situations.
The ideal candidate will come from a proven BI Project Management background and it will be your competency in project management and a successful track record of delivery that will set you apart from the rest.
The role: - Manage a team of Business Intelligence professionals & Developers Work closely with this team, ensuring maximum billing capability.
- Advise on the ideal strategic roadmap for Data Warehouse (Oracle) and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Provide sound advise on the linkage between back end data warehouse and data marts to Business Intelligence Reporting and Analytical solutions.
- Full end-to-end delivery of projects, business and governance related
- Deliver multiple projects across diverse technologies and systems
- Ensure key stakeholders understand and use project methodology
- Develop relationships with stakeholders to build influence and gain trust
- Develop and manage vendor relationships
Required skills and responsibilities: - 4 years Project Management experience
- Extensive understanding of Business Intelligence and Information Management Solutions.
- Warehouse tools, eg. Datastage, Oracle, Cognos, Business Objects etc.
- Proven experience to apply analytical skills and conceptual thinking to operations and system planning across a range of technologies
- Broad understanding across a range of Business Intelligence and Data Demonstrated experience in a service-orientated environment
- Proven knowledge and understanding of PM concepts and methodology
- Well developed project planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting
- Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills
- Immaculate presentation skills
- Ability to accurately decipher which tools will align best with Business Requirements.
- Proven experience within an Project Management role is essential.
- Working understanding of the Financial Services industry would be highly beneficial.
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills are required
- Project Management qualification, Prince2 PMP
