Apex Resource Solutions are now accepting applications for a network operations manager position, with one of their key clients.
Based in Melbourne and working in an environment going through a substantial period of change, this is a newly created position which will see you take charge of the Network Operations Centre and Network Engineering team (team size of 5). You must have experience of working in a telecommunications environment and a technical background combined with strong management experience. You will be working with a company that provides networking solutions to SMEs, where network outages are unacceptable.
This company has various partnerships with vendors and a broad technical background would be beneficial. Experience with EMC, Juniper, Cisco and Fortinet products would be very highly regarded.
Responsibilities will include:
• Act to ensure implementation of and adherence to company policies and systems
• Manage the team day to day and ensure networks are running smoothly
• Identify areas for improvement
• Work with the CIO to implement change
• Act as a point of escalation for client issues
• Dealing with customers in a professional, empathetic and effective manner
Required Experience:
• Telecommunications background
• At least 5 years experience in a technical role
• At least 3 years experience in a managerial role
• Negotiation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify critical issues and drive for quick resolution.
• Ability to see big picture while effectively managing details.
