This is a fantastic opportunity to join a tier one global consulting organisation who are currently in the process of expanding their Business Intelligence and Information Management Practice. This role will focus largely on supplying management consulting services to their extensive list of clients, across a range of industries, including Financial Services, Government and Utilities.
This role will be heavily focused on growing the BI Practice, whilst still networking at a senior level to win new business and grow the brand within the Business Intelligence sector.
The role: - Manage a mid-sized team of Business Intelligence professionals. Work closely with this team, ensuring maximum billing capability.
- Engage with new or prospect clients, selling management consulting across the Business Intelligence sector.
- Advise on the ideal strategic roadmap for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Provide sound advise on the linkage between back end data warehouse and data marts to Business Intelligence Reporting and Analytical solutions.
- Take sole responsibility for the IM/BI Practice P/L spreadsheet.
Required skills and responsibilities: - Extensive understanding of Business Intelligence and Information Management Solutions.
- Broad understanding across a range of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse tools, eg. Teradata, SAS, Oracle, Cognos, Business Objects etc.
- Ability to accurately decipher which tools will align best with Business Requirements.
- Proven experience within an IT Practice Management or Managerial role would be highly regarded.
- Working understanding of the Financial Services industry would be highly beneficial.
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills are required, in order to successfully build the practice both internally and externally.
Although the ideal candidate will come from a proven BI Management background. My client are willing to look at exceptional candidates who have a proven successful background as a Senior or Lead Consultant within the Business Intelligence space.
