Our client, a leader in communications through APAC, are now accepting invitations for a newly created role within a dynamic team of infrastructure professionals. You will be the technical lead across networking including the following activities:
- Accountable for the Consult, Design, cost analyses and implementation of Network infrastructure projects comprising of Cisco Routing/LAN/WAN and Security.
- Accountable for strategic planning recommendations and escalate issues that may affect the ongoing effective operations of the environment.
- Accountable for network project acceptance testing and commissioning communications systems and equipment.
- Communicating customer needs and utilise and co-ordinate all available resources to ensure appropriate solutions are provided to meet those needs.
- Accountable for the project high level and detail design documentation ensuring the data aligns to support services.
- Take ownership or be accountable for analyse and define Availability and Capacity management of LAN/WAN services.
- Take ownership or be accountable for the design of complex business solutions that integrate all data communications components into an effective system network.
- Accountable for the review and approval of proposed operational network designs, ensuring they align to strategic direction, network standards.
- Ensure systems and network security is maintained as defined by Security Policies issued from time to time.
- Required to meet Customer and Business deadlines and be accountable and take ownership.
- Comply with and execute other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
- Cisco CCIE routing and switching certification.
- At least 6+ years experience in IT/Networking.
- Strong knowledge around VoIP QoS over LAN/WAN.
- Sound working knowledge of the market, third parties and experience in an outsourcing environment.
- Sound knowledge of IPV4 and IPV6 protocol.
- Strong knowledge of carrier MPLS and SIP networks.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Core and Access Switching (6500, 4500, 3700 series) and (ASR and ISR ) Routing.
- Sound knowledge of Cisco Nexus switching.
- Sound knowledge of Security technical protocols, policies and process (VPN's, ACL's, IPSEC).
- Strong knowledge network protocols comprising of MPLS, QoS, SIP, BGP, OSFP, RIP, HSRP and IPSEC.
- Sound knowledge of network protocols DMVPN.
- Strong network consulting, design and implementation skills.
- Ability to document solutions, systems and changes.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
- Strong fault diagnosis and rectification skills.
- Strong knowledge of Australian carrier networks.
- Knowledge of Juniper JNOS and ScreenOS will be an advantage.
