This is another fantastic Data Warehouse opportunity, brought to you by Apex Resource Solutions. 

My client is one of Australia's most recognisable brands.  Commanding a huge presence across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.  With one of the largest and strongest Data Warehouse & ETL teams in the region, they are currently looking to further expand, across their highly skilled Datastage ETL team.


The role:

  • Design, development and administration using Datastage (Enterprise and Server Edition - ideally up to v8.1)
  • Strong focus on Administration of the Datastage Server, optimizing performance.
  • Work closely with the Teradata Data Warehouse team, assisting in load scheduling and ensuring best practice.
  • Guiding of business users through Datastage best practice, ensure compliance of standards.
  • Take ownership of the Datastage box, Log-on/off, Metadata and login info etc.
  • Hands on design and development of complex ETL reports.
  • Work across a range of environments including UNIX/AIX.
Required skills and experience:
  • Strong understanding of Datastage Enterprise and Server Edition, across Design, Development and Administration.
  • Experience working with Teradata Data Warehouses is required.
  • Solid understanding of Teradata Plug-ins, FastLoad, T-Pump, Connector Stage etc.
  • An ability to understand business rules and requirements.
  • Any experience with Datastage Web Applications Server is highly regarded.
  • Proven knowledge of working directly with the Datastage box.
