Apex are seeking a Business Consultant to work as a Senior Associate for this Global Consultancy Firm. The successful applicant will have a strong foundation of consulting. You will have a naturally ability to launch, deliver and close business deals; pushing back on the clients requirements; strategically fostering and cultivating client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Focused on opportunity generation and conversion - source / secure / convert defined new sales targets and repeat business with existing clients
- Supports the business development activities through liaison with other internal teams
- Helps formulate and develop sales and marketing material
- Manages client relationships, to ensure delivery quality and that new requirements are quickly identified and met
- Leads major assignments, through successful issue diagnosis, bidding, negotiation, planning and execution
- Leads proposal writing and other business development activities
- Leads on the development and presentation of client deliverables
- Quality assures the work of others
- Engages effectively with a wide range of stakeholders within client organisations and across the wider firm
- Developing new service offerings
- Recognised as an authority in your chosen field
- Captures best practice and drives continual improvement in service delivery
- Undertakes management activities as agreed with the relevant Director
- Manages own utilisation and of those they manage by seeking chargeable activity as a priority
- Coaches and mentors junior members of the team throughout the project lifecycle
- Proactive focus on the development and welfare of those they manage
- Participates in wider firm activities as required
Candidate requirements: - 6+ years of Management Consulting Experience
- Strong track record in business development, with good client relationships and a mature approach. Ability to liaise with existing and new clients directly to determine their needs, help create winning propositions and develop the relationship
- Proven commercial experience, with extensive experience in bidding, winning and delivering consulting assignments which have achieved good results in terms of profit, client and team satisfaction
- High level of technical competence in consultancy services, with a very good knowledge of at least 3 of the following: business cases, financial appraisals, enterprise risk management, process mapping, change management, transformation, strategy, organisational design, performance management, construction economics
- Strong record of achievement as an influencer and persuader
- Sound understanding of the Retail | Logistics and Life Science, prior experience with e-commerce
- Analytical with an advanced competence in relevant IT packages, such as Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Articulate and confident, with strong communication skills, including presenting to and facilitating forums with senior client staff
- Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and engender a team spirit
- Effectively delegate assignments to junior staff and supervise their work
- Self starter and motivational to others
