Apex Resource Solutions are recruiting for a BI Planning Specialist to join their clients dynamic business. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for Business Intelligence and be up to date with new and emerging trends and technologies in the business. You will also be forward thinking and be flexible to adapt to changes and key requirements of my clients growing business.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assess the overall requirements and determine the impact to the business intelligence platform.
• Prepare concept impact assessments in conjunction with the design and quality assurance team.
• Develop high level costing and deployment assumptions.
• Solicit detailed business requirements where appropriate.
• Present, articulate and influence business acceptance of high level estimates, design and deployment approach.
• Work with assigned business analysts to facilitate deeper analysis where appropriate.
• Gain approval across the business intelligence team.

• Prepare concept impact assessments.
• Develop a standard process for the business to follow to ensure smooth turnaround on assessments.
• Develop a costing model that includes internal resource overhead and internal recharges.
• Develop a standard review process that includes cross team collaboration, assessment and approval across the business intelligence team.
• Develop a standard pipeline view of projects in feasibility with integration to the teams supply and demand schedule.
• Present and influence the appropriate prioritisation of projects through the business intelligence team. 

• Deep passion for Business Intelligence.
• Experience with Teradata, Business Objects, SAS and/or Hyperion
• Thorough and proven track record in developing business intelligence proposals.
• Experience in costing models and developing business requirements.
• Strong Business Intelligence technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong understanding of the overall business intelligence platform and development process.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership "from the front" and influencing skills.
• Passion for creating "lead" analytics and insights.
• Strategic Thought: improve overall competitive edge and development of Business Intelligence strategies, design, development and governance of Business Intelligence solutions and processes.
