My clients are recruiting a permanent junior - mid level technical BI/BA with strong SQL skills. You will be working for one of Australia's largest general insurer.
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for providing business and technical analysis on the systems that support the growing Business Intelligence Team. You will be a keen BI enthusiast with career progression on your mind.
Requirements - Strong SQL skills
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience, and proven successful track record, in providing analysis skills to large-medium-small projects
- Hands on experience in the following activities: business and systems analysis; functional and technical design, production systems support.
- Self starter and self motivated individual with a professional positive 'can do' attitude
- Ability to build relationships, customer service and commercial orientation
- Attention to detail, pro-active ability to identify threats / weaknesses and cover off before eventuate
- In depth knowledge of Financial or Insurance Markets
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Excellent English communication skills - both written and oral
Role: - Develop and leverage working relationships with key business and technical stakeholders
- Provide subject matter expertise in system processes to both Internal and External Customers
- Provide client support, and guidance
- Understand and conform to group standards for Project and Solution delivery.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Produce / update functional design specifications for business applications.
- Work closely with business participants, support staff, credit, compliance and operations staff to understand business requirements, and to ensure that understanding is faithfully translated to functional and technical specifications.
- Implementing and translating requirements into functional design documentation
- Work closely with developers and testers to ensure understanding of and compliance with functional and technical requirements
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and business problems to meet deadlines and outcomes.
- Lead or participate as a proactive team member to own and deliver assigned project work through the full development cycle.
