My Client is a leading consumer research and analytics consultancy who apply advanced analytical techniques to advise and optimise their retail/FMCG clients marketing strategies around the marketing principles of the 5 P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement, People) using SAS technologies
Following the success of an going relationship with a key client they are looking to expand the team with additional head count and recruit an experienced “Senior Statistician - Advanced Analytics & Modelling” to work on a range of cutting edge R&D projects
The responsibilities of these roles will cover but will not be limited to
- Building strong relationship with internal stakeholders, client services and external client contacts to understand and consult around analytical and pricing projects
- Using SAS Base programming and a range of advances techniques that may include Statistical Modeling and Data Mining to analyse/optimise and solve a wide range of cutting edge R&D analytics projects
- Further core deliverables may include: Test and Control studies, End to end price elasticity modeling, Brief assessment and update, Feasibility study and advise, Data collection and quality control, Model execution, Simulation Scenario, Results presentation construct
The ideal candidate for this position will come from a proven SAS Insights, Analytical and Modelling background and will be bale to demonstrate the following:
- 3-4+years commercial experience working in a highly analytical data driven environment where the key focus has been to extract strategic insights from large volumes of data
- Strong SAS programming skills for managing, manipulating and analysing large volumes of data (SAS Base, SAS Macro, SAS E-Miner)
- A sound appreciation of Advanced Analytical techniques and concepts that m ay include but not limited to, Price Elasticity Modelling, Regression Analysis, Propensity Modelling, GLM Modelling, Segmentation Analysis, Significance Testing, Decision Trees, Neural Networks
- Educated to a minimum of degree level in a highly analytical discipline such as – Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Actuarial studies etc
- Clear communication skills through both spoken and written mediums
