My Client is a global financial services band with an excellent reputation for developing their employees through internal promotions and  international transfers. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Portfolio Strategy Analyst to join this dynamic and vibrant team with the core focus to maximising the value of their product portfolio through the proactive analysis of product performance using the cutting edge SAS Analytics platform
 
The responsibilities of the role will cover:

• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders from Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Risk and Channel teams
• Develop a deep understanding of the product leavers and drivers for cards, consumer lending and mortgages and how to manage, measure and influence their performance 
• Using SAS to review, analyse and segment product profit and loss statements and identify strategic opportunities and risks 

 
Note: 20% of this role will focus on delivering a monthly 'information pack' for your stakeholders, the remaining 80% of your time will be spent using SAS to proactively analyse and drive performance improvement
 
The successful applicant will come from a proven background working in a data driven SAS analytics environment, where delivering strategic insights from large data sets has been the key focus. You must be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Strong understanding of P&L and behavioural drivers
• Clear communication skills through both spoken and written mediums, highly influential with excellent business acumen
• Strong SAS skills (Base or EG), advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access 
• Motivated and ambitious with a proven ability to excel
• Good understanding of consumer banking products (Cards, Mortgages etc) 
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
