This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's largest blue-chip organisations.  Currently commanding one of the largest Enterprise Data Warehouses in the Asia-Pacific region, they are currently looking for a Datastage ETL Design Lead to join their highly skilled Data Warehouse and ETL team.


The role:

  • Lead a team of on-shore developers, with a focus on high-level design and reviewing of code.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architecture team, ensuring best practice of ETL and Data Warehouse roadmap.
  • Design and develop rules and codes for the ETL Datastage road-map.
  • Research and analyse data source systems and applications to meet internal customer requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements can be developed accurately.
  • Perform reviews of table and interface design, working with the technical team to guarantee improvement of ETL load speed and performance.
Required skills and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of the ETL and Data Warehouse industry.  
  • Extensive experience with high level design of Datastage ETL, within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
  • Hands on experience working with Datastage Enterprise Edition, (7.5-8.1).
  • Working knowledge of Teradata (ideally v12).
  • Must have strong SQL skills.
  • Ability to work with complex physical and logical data models.
  • This role requires customer interaction.  Therefore, exceptional communication and presentation skills are paramount.
